About the Facility Texas Veteran's Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) The CMOP utilizes a combination of automated and manual procedures to prepare and dispense Over-The-Counter and legend drug prescriptions, controlled substance prescriptions, bulk type prescriptions, and medical/surgical products directly by mail to patients. The nature of services includes the operation and support of automated and manual filling equipment, and the preparation of prescription orders for mail-out dispensing. Facility Address: 2962 S Longhorn Drive, Lancaster, TX 75134 Shipping & Packing - RESPONSIBILITIES • Shall have knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content. • Be capable of selection of appropriate type and size of container. • Will insert enclosures in containers. • Will use excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage. • Will close and seal containers. • Will apply labels or enter identifying data on containers. • Shall operate various types of packaging equipment. • Must be able to read computer screens and use scanning equipment. • Must be able to respond to alarms and alerts. • Shall maintain work area in clean and orderly manner. Shipping & Packing - REQUIREMENTS • Must have a HS diploma or GED. • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff. • Must have basic typing skills, PC computer skills, working knowledge of the MS Office. • Must read, understand, speak and write English fluently. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when required; push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack. • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time and being able to lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively. • Must be able to understand precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste. Global Industrial Delivering Value Starts Here Key Responsibilities • Uses an RF scanner to determine the proper products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for completing customer orders. • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves or conveyor belts based on the necessary route for either the packing station or shipping department. • Operates a riding powered pallet jack and/or forklift to move products efficiently in a productive environment. • Receives processed orders, verifies accuracy of order and scans order into computer system. • Banding product securely to respective pallet using company standards to ensure our customers satisfaction. • Utilizes machinery to shrink wrap products on pallets. • Operates forklift and pallet jack to stage or load products as necessary. • Loads orders safely and efficiently. • Receives merchandise into the warehouse daily upon delivery. Unloads trucks and verifies inventory. • Record and report discrepancies and/or damages as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. Competencies and skills Work Schedule: 2nd Shift. This role generally operates on a 3:00PM to 11:30PM schedule. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have previous experience operating a gas forklift and electric pallet jack. Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Warehouse environment required. Minimum of 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack required. Minimum of 1 year experience utilizing an RF Scanner required. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis required. Able to stand, walk, pull and bending 100% of the day on a continuous basis in a fast-paced environment. Must have organizational and multi-tasking skills in fast-paced environment. Utilize various types of packing supplies to protect product on pallet for shipping. Reading and comprehension skills required. Must possess computer exposure. Strong initiative and self-motivational skills. Strong verbal communication skills.
