Work Experience: 1 year related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective interpersonal, written and oral communications. Demonstrated patient care skills. Demonstrated PC skills. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Greets and engages patients and visitors according to established protocols, demonstrating excellent customer service in every interaction. Communicates schedule and clinical information to patients, co-workers, and clinical staff as needed and appropriate. Assists in coordination of care through messages, faxes, phone calls, emails, etc. for communication to providers, patients, pharmacies, and other healthcare resources. Schedules tests and appointments for referred services and tracks to ensure completion. Addresses work queue tasks and provides communication and documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Schedules appointments according to established protocols. Registers demographic and billing information and determines eligibility and benefits to accommodate patient's care. Successfully uses computer software applications to accomplish tasks according to policies and procedures. Maintains medical records including collection of patient forms, scanning, filing of correspondence, and test results. Prepares cash receipts, bank deposits, and balances cash drawer on a daily basis. Maintains and distributes provider schedules appropriately. Participates in quality initiatives and safety functions. Assists in identifying and ordering needed supplies. Remains informed and compliant with current Health System, OSHA, Joint Commission, PQRS, and HIPAA policies and procedures.
