With over 23,000 employees across 4,000+ locations in North America and Europe, we're reimagining how people move through their journeys—saving time, reducing hassle, and ensuring every step feels effortless and efficient.You will…A Wheelchair Assistant works at an airport facility and provides assistance to passengers traveling in wheelchairs.ResponsibilitiesPush wheelchair passengers to and from their arrival/departure gate.Assist passengers with moving luggage to their vehicles, taxi stands, parking shuttle stations, and rental car stations.Roll customer‑occupied wheelchair safely down the jet bridge.Ensure wheel brakes are in place prior to allowing passengers to exit the wheelchair.Complete any necessary wheelchair or incident reports.Follow dispatcher gate orders.Maintain a friendly and positive attitude and attentiveness to each passenger's individual needs, including answering safety and security questions.Maintain professional working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities.Exceed customer service standards.Carry out other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.Authorized to work in the United States.Clear a background and drug screen.Able to lift up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300 lbs on inclines during the shift.Able to lift passengers from the wheelchair to the seat on the plane.Customer‑service experience preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation.Complete all required training, including airport compliance.Obtain an airport security badge.Appearance GuidelinesEmployees must present a professional business‑like image at all times, including appropriate dress, grooming, and personal hygiene.For male employees, a fully grown and well‑maintained mustache, beard, or goatee is permitted.No visible tattoos or body piercings are allowed. Tattoos must be covered by uniform or other agreed means.Clean and well‑maintained approved uniforms must be worn on shift.Additional requirements may be specified by management.Physical RequirementsThe job requires the use of hands and fingers and frequent sitting, reaching, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, turning, stretching, and bending. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs regularly and move quickly. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.Salary & BenefitsSalary: $14.00 per hour (+ tips).
