Schedule: 32 hours/week Tuesday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM Friday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Mondays Closed) Summary The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Performs opening and closing clinic duties • Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance • Scans documents into electronic health record • Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day • Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day • Schedules follow up appointments as needed • Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record • Orders clinic office supplies • Sells and tracks cosmetic products • Distributes mail • Prepares for next day scheduled appointments Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • High school diploma or equivalent is required • 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred • Proficient in basic computer functions • Ability to learn new software quickly • Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills • Ability to operate standard office equipment • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred • Must possess attention to detail • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors • Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times • Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Forefront will never request personal information, such as your social security number or banking information, via text or email. Work Conditions: When administering drive tests, you'll be exposed to all weather elements and driving skill levels for an extended period. Rain and winter clothing will be provided. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; occasional in-state travel will be expected, along with reporting to various locations as needed.
