Customer Service Representative - Benefits Counselor We are seeking a talented individual to join our PL Service team at Mercer, a Marsh business. The position is open to remote but must be near the Dallas, Houston, Miami/Sunrise, or Urbandale office as onsite attendance will be required occasionally throughout the year as needed. As a Customer Service Representative - Benefits Counselor, you will serve as a trusted resource for customers by delivering exceptional support and guidance on benefits, insurance, and policy-related questions. Position Overview: As a General Warehouse Team Member, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, shipment and production process of materials according to all established Company and regulatory policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and timely receipt and shipping of all materials following FIFO and potential freight claim or back order procedures while supporting all freight and safety policies • Receive, unload and process inbound material and shipments; stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments • Perform a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product; move, store and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts • Understand and comply with applicable DOT, EPA, OSHA and specific HS&E requirements • Maintain a safe, clean working environment • Accurately maintain shipping and receiving related information • Communicate potential stockouts, damaged material/packaging or labeling to appropriate staff in a timely manner • Partner with Drivers to ensure efficient loading and delivery of shipments Expected Skills and Qualifications: • Knowledge and understanding of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness and hazardous material shipping • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent • Ability to learn internal database and software systems; proficient with near-miss and MSDS, UPS, FedEx and dedicated Logistics system • Effectively communicate cross-functionally Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications: • 2+ years' experience in a warehouse environment, including experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, pick/pack • Associate's degree • Forklift certification Physical Requirements for a General Warehouse Team Member: • Moderate to heavy physical activity; ability to independently lift up to 75 pounds • Ability to walk and/or stand for entire length of shift; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl; may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance • Ability to reach, grasp, push and pull with hands and arms • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; hand-eye coordination Pre-Employment Requirement: Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a physical, drug screen, and background check.
