Job Description Barista OVERVIEW As a Barista you'll prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages while providing fast, quality customer service. Barista Benefits • Free all you want brewed coffee on shift • FREE specialty drink on shift • 50% off all drinks • 25% off all food • Flexible schedule • Cash tips • Upward mobility JOB DUTIES • Perform shift opening and closing duties as assigned. • Greet customers, take orders, prepare and serve beverages, as well as various sweet offerings, in accordance to established service standards (i.e. coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, pastries). • Clean, sanitize and maintain store. • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed. • Stock and replenish food, beverages and utensils as needed. • Ensure consistent product availability by keeping adequate inventory; communicate shortages as necessary. • Efficiently serve customers by being knowledgeable of offerings. • Assist with various administrative duties including ordering products, organizing stockroom, coordinating vendors, etc. • Research and resolve quality and service complaints and/or issues. • Receive, unload and distribute deliveries. • Other duties as assigned. You are applying to work with a franchisee of Scooters Coffee. If hired, the franchisee will be your only employer. Franchisees are independent business owners who set own terms of employment, including wage and benefit programs, which can vary between franchisees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Greet and connect with each customer • Welcome questions and seek opportunities to educate on our products • Suggestively sell gift cards, complementary/additional products, and merchandise • Solicit order, enter sale, and process payment in a timely and friendly fashion • Manage cash drawer, following established cash handling procedures • Serve all customer orders according to recipe and aesthetic guidelines • Deliver products within established speed of service guidelines and identify drink upon delivery • Operate and maintain cleanliness of all store equipment • Optimize workflow efficiency by restocking workstations, food, supplies, and merchandise • Maintain cleanliness of coworker and customer areas • Demonstrate genuine appreciation to each customer QUALIFICATIONS • Passion for people • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment • Commitment to master brand recipes and techniques • Dependability • Energetic, fast-paced, flexible work style • Ability to learn quickly, problem solve, and handle multiple duties *Provided shirt and apron *1 shift drink Established in 1998, Scooter's Coffee has distinguished itself as one of the premiere specialty coffee companies in the industry.
