Customer Service Representative Optum Care Delivery is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. As part of the Optum Care Delivery organization, you will play an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone. This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer up to 90 days of paid training. External hires will need to be on-site for one and a half days for orientation. Internal hires will not need to complete orientation. The hours during training will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST, Monday - Friday. Upon successful completion of the training period, employees may be eligible for a remote work schedule. Primary Responsibilities: • Answer average of 60-80 incoming phone calls per day from customers and identify the type of assistance the customer needs • Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems • Communicate directly with clinical staff for patient needs • Medication refills, referral requests, chart troubleshooting • Scheduling appointments for patients - entering and updating demographics • Other tasks as needed Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience • Must be 18 years of age OR older • 1+ years of experience in customer service environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications • Ability to type 40 wpm • Ability to work full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST. Preferred Qualifications: • 1+ years of health care experience • 1+ years of call center experience • Knowledge of Medical Terminology Telecommuting Requirements: • External candidates must reside within commutable distance to the office at 165 S Union Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80228, to complete a day and a half of on-site orientation. After orientation, they may enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. (National remote for internal candidates) • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
