Position Description We are seeking energetic and responsible individuals that want to be a part of our growing company. As a prep cook at our Black Bean Deli Commissary Kitchen, you will play a crucial role by assisting with food preparation tasks and ensuring thatour kitchen operates smoothly. Your responsibilities will include: • Assisting in food preparation, including cutting, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes. • Adhering to food safety and sanitation practices, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and handling food items properly. • Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as knives, slicers, mixers, and food processors. • Monitoring inventory levels and notify management of low stock items, participating in inventory counts and restocking activities. • Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to production schedules. • Following company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including health and safety standards, food handling guidelines, and cleanliness protocols. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a food preparation or kitchen environment preferred but not required. • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portioning guidelines accurately. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Beautiful Interlachen Country Club located in Winter Park, FL has openings for full-time experienced line cooks in our Main Clubhouse and various outlets. Currently undergoing a full Golf renovation, we are excited to re-open our 18-hole Championship Golf Course and brand new Golf Clubhouse whichwill include two new dining outlets. SUMMARY: As a member of the Kitchen Culinary Team, you will set up and maintain your work station for lunch and/or dinner service. Line Cooks will work as a team with each other as well as with servers and supervisors to ensure all orders are accurate and prepared in a timely manner. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Preps and stocks all items needed to assemble regular menu selections in addition to the weekly specials. • Uses standardized recipes and presentation photos as guidelines to prepare Kitchen menu items and specials. • Cross-train on all Kitchen stations: Pantry, Grill, Flat, and Prep. • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can always be organized and easily accessible. • Maintains cleanliness of coolers, countertops, fryer, grill, and char-broiler on a daily basis. Perform utility duties when a utility staff member is not scheduled. • Conducts self in a proper manner due to open nature of the kitchen. COMPENSATION: Competitive based on experience.
