We are looking to hire a Lab Assistant.As a Lab Assistant at MercyOne, you may work in various laboratory departments to collect blood specimens from hospital patients, work with microbiology or anatomic pathology specimens, or work independently at remote Patient Service Centers. Creates patient encounters, orders laboratory tests, and prepares specimens for testing. Assists technical personnel in sample log-in, testing workflow, and specimen tracking, as appropriate for patient age including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric adults.Accurately and efficiently performs venipunctures, and finger sticks ensuring collection of proper specimens for testing and ensuring patient safety.Prepares specimens for testing.Accepts specimens and requisitions from external and internal customers utilizing excellent customer service skills.Identifies patients/specimens using two unique patient identifiers and accurately labels specimen containers.Correctly registers specimens and logs into Laboratory Information System (LIS) appropriate to department where testing is to be performed as needed, or evaluates specimen adequacy and acceptability and logs into LIS.Performs specimen processing as needed. For example, proper identification, aliquoting, plate streaking, preparing slides, special handling, and required documentation.Follows established procedures and policies including infection control and bloodborne pathogens.Handles chemicals according to established safety protocols.Meets defined workload productivity standards. Heavy Equipment Field Lube TechnicianMurphy Tractor & Equipment Co. is one of the largest John Deere construction equipment dealers in North America. Founded in 1982 we now have 28 dealerships throughout Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Pennsylvania. We are currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Field Lube Technician. The Heavy Equipment Field Lube Technician is responsible for performing oil and fluid changes, filter replacement, lubricate fittings and equipment. In addition the Heavy Equipment Field Lube Technician will complete inspections and preventative maintenance requirements on vehicles and earthmoving equipment. This position is required to cooperate with and follow all company, state and federal safety guidelines and requirements.Heavy Equipment Field Lube ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe and secure work environment to include remote jobsites that are free of spills, tools, etc. to eliminate potential hazards.Cooperate with and follow incident reporting and safety guidelines and requirements.Communicate safety concerns to appropriate personnel.Utilize and properly maintain all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Safely operate and utilize safety restraints on heavy equipment and commercial motor vehicles.Travel to customer jobsites to perform required inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy/earthmoving equipment.Conduct and perform oil sampling, oil, fluid, and filter changes, lubricate fittings and equipment as recommended by manufacture.Dispose of used oil and filters daily according to company and EPA guidelines and requirements.Professionally communicate issues with equipment to customers, shop foreman, and service manager.Accurately order replacement fittings, hoses, etc. from MTEC Parts Dept.Maintain adequate parts and tool inventory on lube truck.Inspect and utilize tools to ensure safe operating conditions.Ensure lube truck (CMV) is clean, organized, properly maintained, and in safe operating condition.Heavy Equipment Field Lube Technician Administration ResponsibilitiesUtilize various computer programs consistently and effectively.Prepare and accurately complete maintenance records, reports, and work orders.Accurately record hours of service, inspections, and mileage reports.Effectively communicate internally and with customers verbally and via email.Work EnvironmentConsistently works with and near heavy earthmoving construction equipment.Exposed to outside elements and weather conditions to include, extreme heat, extreme cold, snow, rain, ice, wind and foggy conditions.Surface work area will include, gravel, dirt, asphalt, concrete, etc.Work conditions vary and may include shop settings, high traffic areas, and rural environments.Physical RequirementsConsistently be able to stand, sit, and kneel.Use hands and fingers to grip, feel, and reach.Be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.Possess ability to lift up to 75lbs.Requirements and ExperiencePossess a valid Class A CDLHave and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record free of disqualifying offenses.Meet fit for duty requirements and be able to obtain a DOT medical certificate.Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT Federal drug screen.High school diploma or GED is required.A minimum of one year of experience working with and servicing heavy equipment.Possess basic technical and mechanical skills.Condition of EmploymentCandidate must meet all requirements above, have no disqualifying offenses relating to safety performance history checks, drug and alcohol records, motor vehicle records, and must be determined to be fit for duty.
