This role ensures maintenance work is properly planned, resourced, scheduled, and execution-ready to improve reliability, workforce utilization, and operational performance. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Warehouse, contractors, and site leadership, the Planner-Scheduler coordinates maintenance activities,identifies resource constraints, and supports safe, efficient execution of work.This position will be based at our High Voltage Office, located in Tye, TX. Main Responsibilities Work Planning & Readiness Develop detailed work packages including scope, labor estimates, procedures, parts, tooling, equipment, vendor support, and safety requirementsConduct field walkdowns when needed to validate scope, site conditions, and resource requirementsReview equipment history, fault trends, and previous work orders to optimize planning qualityEnsure all work is fully planned and execution-ready before schedulingScheduling & Resource Coordination Maintain a rolling 6-12 week maintenance schedule across multiple sites and work groupsCoordinate activities among Operations, Maintenance, High Voltage teams, Engineering, contractors, vendors, and support organizationsBalance priorities based on equipment criticality, risk, workforce availability, materials, outages, budgets, and operational needsContinuously adjust schedules and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize labor utilizationMaterials, Tooling & Vendor Readiness Ensure required parts, materials, tooling, vehicles, and equipment are available before scheduled workCoordinate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and site personnel to resolve shortages and resource constraintsEscalate potential issues early to prevent schedule impactsWork Management Systems (Maximo) Serve as the area subject matter expert for Maximo and mobile work management toolsCreate and maintain work orders, job plans, preventive maintenance programs, standard work packages, labor estimates, and material requirementsSupport backlog management, work prioritization, schedule compliance, and continuous improvement of work management processesPerformance & Continuous Improvement Monitor schedule execution and analyze planning and labor variancesIdentify causes of delays and execution challenges, including parts, tooling, vendor, resource, or scope issuesUse historical performance data and technician feedback to improve future planning accuracy and scheduling effectivenessTrack and communicate key planning and scheduling metrics to leadershipReliability, Compliance & Safety Support risk-based maintenance prioritization and equipment reliability initiativesCoordinate required clearance, switching, and tagging activitiesAssist with NERC and other regulatory compliance requirementsPromote strong safety, environmental, and procedural compliance throughout the planning and scheduling processBasic Qualifications Associate's degree with one (1) or more years of related work experienceIn lieu of an associate's degree, High School Diploma/GED WITH three or more years of relevant experience in maintenance, operations, planning, scheduling, work management, or a related technical fieldDesired Qualifications Bachelor's degree with five or more years of related work experienceWorking knowledge of maintenance work management processesExperience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management systemAbility to organize and manage multiple concurrent prioritiesEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to work
