Sam's Club is seeking Merchandise and Stocking Associates to assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and supporting daily warehouse club operations. Associates are responsible for unloading deliveries, moving merchandise onto the sales floor, stocking shelves and bulk displays, rotating inventory, organizing backroom inventory, and ensuring products are properly labeled and displayed. Associates may also assist members with locating merchandise and help maintain store cleanliness and organization. This position typically pays $15 to $20 per hour, with opportunities for overnight shift differential pay, overtime pay, holiday pay, and performance-based raises depending on location and shift.Merchandise and Stocking Associates are responsible for unloading trucks, moving pallets using pallet jacks or forklifts, stocking shelves and bulk displays, rotating inventory, labeling merchandise, organizing backroom inventory, setting up promotional displays, and maintaining store organization and safety standards. 26-27 Thurston Co. Food Bank Warehouse & Procurement Support This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Thurston County Food Bank (TCFB) is committed to eliminating hunger in our community through neighbor-helping-neighbor service. TCFB serves more than 71,000 community members annually through pantries, satellite and mobile programs, home delivery, and partnerships with regional agencies. Forty nine percent of those we serve are children under the age of 18. AmeriCorps members play a critical role in expanding access to nutritious food while supporting dignity, equity, and community resilience. The member will focus on procuring food, repackaging and processing orders and supporting all aspects of receiving and delivering food to those we collaborate with. This position provides an opportunity to learn about food insecurity in Thurston County, WA and how our collective community efforts work to reduce barriers to accessing food for marginalized, underserved and underrepresented members of our community. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in mid-late July. Monthly stipend amount: $2,438. Member Duties • The Warehouse and Procurement Support Member assists with food receiving and distribution. • They will inspect and process shipments; maintain inventory control and safe work areas, and using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and balers. • Duties include sorting, packing, restocking, and distributing food, assisting with dock operations and deliveries, and working independently or with staff and volunteers, including occasional off-site support.
