As a Quality Control Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our concrete meets the highest industry standards for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.Your Mission & Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished ready mix concrete using industry-standard methods.Interpret test results and compare them to established specifications and control limits.Conduct visual inspections of concrete products to ensure compliance with quality standards.Collaborate with production and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.Deliver quality control training to production staff as directed by management or technical services.Maintain accurate records of tests, analyses, and quality-related activities.Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to help improve our quality control processes.What Sets You ApartWillingness to work variable shifts based on scheduled pours, including day and overnight shifts.Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply—we provide on-the-job training for those new to quality control or the concrete industry.ACI certification, or willingness to obtain it, is a plus.Associate or bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or related field is preferred but not required.Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, or construction materials is a plus, but not required.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); experience with quality management software is a plus.Willingness to complete SRM's pre-employment screenings.About SRMSRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is a family-owned, values-driven leader in the ready mix concrete industry.
