This role supports production by performing structural repairs, frame corrections, welding, metal fabrication, and assembly work to ensure products are completed safely, efficiently, and ready for shipment.Knowledge and Skills ASE Collision Repair & Refinish Certifications or similar certification.Must be able to read and write in English Bilingual Spanish is a plusMust have obtained Welder certification3 - 4 years' experience in similar roleAbility to work independently and draw from experience with minimal supervisionAbility to problem solve and follow standardized practices and proceduresMechanical aptitude; thorough knowledge of machine print reading and interpretation,Working knowledge of Mills and LathesResponsibilities: Inspect, evaluate, and repair damaged bus cab structures and components.Perform structural repairs and frame straightening using specialized equipment and repair techniques.Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components to production specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work instructions.Measure, layout, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding.Operate fabrication equipment, including shears, press brakes, rollers, band saws, drills, and punch presses.Perform MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on various metals.Grind, sand, buff, and finish repaired or fabricated surfacesWeld in all positions, welds flat, vertical and horizontal surfacesReassembling parts and assemblies following repair and fabrication work.Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements.Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in safe working condition.Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems,Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee HandbookEnsure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation and Occupational Safety and Health Act.Working Conditions: 100% plant floor (PPE required)Frequent requirement of handling heavy equipment (operation)Frequent need to give concentrated attention to surroundingsDecision Making: Draft sketches as needed as per requirementsDetermine the correct method of fabrication based on projectReports to Production SupervisorBackground check and pre-employment drug screen required for employment opportunity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
PGW Auto Glass Delivery Driver And Warehouse Employee Job Summary: The PGW Auto Glass Delivery Driver and Warehouse employee is responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering automotive glass products to customers on a designated route. This role includes safe handling of fragile glass, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities and Duties: • Load, secure, and transport automotive glass and related materials safely. • Deliver glass products to customers on an assigned route, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Operate company vehicles, including box trucks, in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies. • Accurately pick, pack, and load customer orders. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. • Unload and assist customers with their deliveries, ensuring products arrive undamaged. • Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service. • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs. • Maintain accurate delivery records, including invoices and proof of delivery documents. • Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory checks and material organization, as needed. • Follow proper handling and safety protocols to prevent product damage and ensure workplace safety. • Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and customers to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications and Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (Medical DOT certification may be required to operate certain vehicles.) • Previous delivery driving experience, preferably handling fragile materials. • Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in loading, securing, and delivering products. • Basic computer skills for route navigation and delivery documentation. • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds regularly. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Commitment to safety procedures and workplace regulations. • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
