Mount and dismount, air pressure checks, balancing, tire rotation and flat repairs. Ensures lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.Inspect vehicles as per the VIR training expectations.Ensures that customer satisfaction and communication is of the utmost importance.Recommend safety and preventative services to our customers.Receiving of product into location prior to putting away.Review procedure, Quick Guide Parts Ordering on TreadnetPerform vehicle oil changes as per VIR training standards as required.Assist with opening and closing of store, including EOD.End of shift duties completed (cleaning, finishing work, manager approval).Facility maintenance and clean-up including but not limited to:Sweeping, empty garbage cansAssist in organization of all tire and lube shop related supplies.Parking lot cleaned of debit and/or garbage.Warehouse organization to include ensuring like tires are together, inventory is faced, rows are clean and tidy and help ensure the area stays safe for operating.Maintains a high level of cleanliness of your workspace including bay areas, Commercial Tire Vehicles, and customer vehicles.Shuttle and/or customer courtesy driver.Assist with phone and counter duties as needed.Other duties as assigned, to include but not limited: oil changes, lube shop support, alignment support.Competencies and Skills:Sales SkillsDetail OrientedEfficiencyCustomer ServiceMechanical SkillsQualifications – Required:Valid Driver's License and Insurable Driving Record.Minimum age requirement: 18 yearsExperience in a vehicle maintenance shop (preferred).High school diploma equivalent (preferred).Compensation & Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, ESOP and retirement plans.Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidaysEssential Physical & Environmental Functions:Physical Demands:Standing: 80% | Walking: 70% | Sitting: 5%Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and walking on uneven surfacesFrequent lifting/carrying: up to 50 lbsFrequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and dexterityConstant visual, auditory, and verbal communication requiredWork Environment:Frequent exposure to noise, dirt, dust, mechanical vibration, fumes, and outdoor conditionsOccasional work in extreme heat/cold or wet/humid environmentsOccasional hazards due to mechanical equipment, moving objects, and roadside workEquipment Operated:Computer and keyboardTire machines, compressors, air tools and hand toolsCompany-provided software and system for work orders and inventoryRequired to use protective gear (PPE)Compliance & Acknowledgment: This position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Commercial Tire Service Technician 1The Commercial Tire Service Technician 1 is responsible for providing tire-related services both in-store and at customer locations. This includes mounting, dismounting, balancing, repairs, and roadside assistance for commercial and light-duty vehicles. This role plays a key part in maintaining customer satisfaction through excellent service, technical accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Deliver top-tier service to customers through timely follow-ups, issue resolution, and proactive communication.Perform all tire-related services (mounting, dismounting, fleet checks, pressure adjustments, and repairs) on-site or at customer locations.Respond to after-hours and on-call roadside service requests as scheduled.Conduct daily vehicle inspections, operate company vehicles, and maintain compliance with DOT and ELD requirements.Operate tools and equipment such as impact guns, air compressors, hub-cap hammers, and boom trucks safely and effectively.Ability to look up fluid volumes for tire size.Accurately complete work orders, service tickets, and invoices, while verifying customer credit and making necessary billing adjustments.Assist in inventory management by using company software systems (e.g., Toolbox, Basys) including scanning, transferring, and returning items.Initiates purchase orders for parts, assists with updating information on the computer and maintains records/files for follow-up.Document fleet inspections, casing write-ups, barcode scanning, and all account-required images or forms.Maintain vehicle appearance, safety materials, and fuel receipts for company processing.Ensure lug nuts are tightened to proper torque specifications.Match tire sets correctly, ensuring proper placement and wear alignment.Other duties as assigned.Competencies and Skills:Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailsEffective verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer and software skillsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsQualifications - Required:Valid driver's license with insurable driving recordMinimum age requirement: 18 years.DOT Driver Qualification file (q-file) and Medical CertificationTIA CertificationHigh School Diploma or GED (preferred)Compensation & Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, ESOP and retirement plans.Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidaysEssential Physical & Environmental Functions:Physical Demands:Standing: 80% | Walking: 70% | Sitting: 5%Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and walking on uneven surfacesFrequent lifting/carrying: up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting over 100 lbsFrequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and dexterityConstant visual, auditory, and verbal communication requiredWork Environment:Frequent exposure to noise, dirt, dust, mechanical vibration, fumes, and outdoor conditionsOccasional work in extreme heat/cold or wet/humid environmentsOccasional shift work and extended days may be requiredOccasional hazards due to mechanical equipment, moving objects, and roadside workEquipment Operated:Company service vehicles and boom trucksTire machines, compressors, air tools and hand toolsCompany-provided software and system for work orders and inventoryRequired to use protective gear (PPE)Compliance & Acknowledgment:This position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
