Inside Sales - Plumbing & Mechanical

INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE Plumbing, Mechanical, Pipe, Valves & Fittings (PVF) Position Summary The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, generating quotations, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer service for plumbing, mechanical, pipe, valves, fittings, and related construction products. The role works closely with contractors, municipalities, industrial customers, vendors, and branch operations to ensure accurate product selection, timely delivery, and achievement of sales goals. Key Responsibilities • Manage inbound sales inquiries and proactively develop customer relationships. • Prepare accurate quotes, bids, pricing proposals, and product recommendations. • Process customer orders and coordinate fulfillment with warehouse and operations teams. • Maintain knowledge of PVF, plumbing, mechanical, waterworks, and construction products. • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue and gross margin. • Follow up on quotations and open opportunities to convert business. • Resolve customer concerns regarding pricing, product availability, deliveries, and returns. • Collaborate with outside sales representatives and branch leadership to drive growth. • Maintain CRM and sales records with accurate customer and opportunity information. Qualifications • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor degree preferred. • 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or distribution experience preferred. • Experience with plumbing, mechanical, PVF, industrial, waterworks, or construction products strongly preferred. • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to read specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements is a plus. • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms.
