Job Description As a Clinical Technology Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful use of advanced, innovative surgical technologies. We offer comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and confidence to thrive in your role. Primary Responsibilities: • Set up and operate surgical technologies to provide technical equipment guidance as needed to surgeons and staff before and during surgery • Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, equipment calibrations, and complete necessary documentation • Load and transport surgical technologies to healthcare facilities. Driving is an everyday responsibility of this role with occasional overnight travel • Practice safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques • Meet customer needs, provide exceptional customer service, and foster strong, professional relationships with both ForTec team members and healthcare partners Qualifications Requirements: • Must be able to work a flexible schedule with early mornings, evening cases, and occasional weekend coverage or overnight travel • Professional demeanor and strong team-oriented mindset • Basic computer/smartphone proficiency • High School diploma or equivalent • Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license with no major violations • Ability to push, pull, and manipulate medical equipment over 50 pounds • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, and stand for long periods of time Customer Credentialing Requirement • Must be able to meet the credentialing requirements of assigned medical facilities, which include client-required immunizations (which may include the Covid-19 vaccine and flu vaccine) and may include health screenings, background checks, and passing drug screens (including marijuana/THC testing) as required for facility credentialing and permitted by applicable law What You Need to Be Successful: • Ability to work independently • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities • Outstanding communication and customer service skills • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail Preferred Background: • If you have prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience, your background can provide a smooth transition into the clinical technology specialist role. • If you have experience working long days, unpredictable schedules, early mornings, and are eager to learn, we will train you! Job Summary The Painter/ Grinder Technician is responsible for finishing operations, including painting, grinding, and sanding, to welded and machined assemblies with a focus on quality. Essential Job Functions • Grinding of welds per drawing, shop orders and welder's instructions using various grinding tools to break or smooth sharp edges of finished assemblies • Operation of power tools including large electric and air powered grinders and large belt grinders • Basic inspection of welded and machined parts & assemblies to ensure quality workmanship • Apply primer and/or paint processes as needed per shop orders and specifications including the handling, use, storage, and disposal of volatile, flammable and combustible materials. (Paint, Primer, Cleaning solvents (MEK & Acetone) • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized grinding workstation, paint booth and paint prep area • Use proper PPE as noted in the employee handbook and as required based on the task • Notify the responsible welder or supervisor of defects seen during course of work • Report exact time spent at each work-center on the corresponding shop order • Maintain shop order paperwork and turn them into the shop supervisor when work is complete • Keep tools used with stainless steel and aluminum separate from those used on mild steel keeping them free of contamination • Passivation of completed stainless steel assemblies using Citric Acid passivator • Clean assemblies of excess galvanizing and repair galvanizing as needed • Operate the forklift as needed to transport materials and parts • Prepare surface for further finishing • Other grinding, sanding or polishing duties as required Requirements: • Ability to work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks. • Must have a strong focus on safety and quality. • Ability to use basic measuring & inspection tools such as measuring tapes, square, calipers, go / no go gauges & radius gauges. • Organizational, problem solving, and follow-through skills. • Basic ability to read mechanical (CAD) drawings. • Good mechanical aptitude.
