This role works closely with project teams to ensure compliance with all company, local, and federal safety standards. This is a field-based position, not an office job. The Safety Coordinator will spend the majority of their time on active construction sites performing inspections and interacting with crews. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with jobsite safety pre-planning • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations • Coordinate and purchase safety equipment when needed • Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents • Provide ongoing safety training for employees • Collaborate with subcontractors to maintain safe jobsite practices • Represent Crossland during OSHA inspections • Complete 40 hours of safety training annually Qualifications: • OSHA 30 certification required • Ability to obtain OSHA Trainer status • Strong communication and organizational skills • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel to jobsites as needed • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction Management, or related field preferred • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply • Construction safety training or internship experience preferred • CSP or other professional safety credentials preferred • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Physical & Work Environment Requirements: • This is an active, field-based role on construction jobsites • Ability to walk up to 10 miles per day while conducting site inspections • Ability to work in hot and cold outdoor conditions • Ability to work at heights and navigate active construction sites Our Mission: To reduce and eliminate jobsite accidents through proactive planning, regular inspections, strong enforcement, and ongoing safety training. No drug related conviction within the past 5 years, or 10 years if the offense occurred while holding a CDL.
