Shipping and Receiving ClerkThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk verifies and records all incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares finished products for delivery, and ensures that all materials move accurately and efficiently through the facility. This role supports inventory control, maintains shipping supplies, and helps keep the shipping department organized, safe, and productive.ResponsibilitiesVerify and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.Prepare finished products for shipment, including packing, labeling, and documentation.Examine all outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.Compare identifying information such as counts, weights, and measures for all incoming and outgoing items against shipping and receiving records.Affix appropriate labels on packed cartons and attach packing slips as required.Unpack and examine incoming shipments to confirm accuracy and condition.Take appropriate steps to receive items, including rejecting damaged items and completing required documentation.Route received items to the correct department or designated storage area.Maintain an organized inventory of shipping materials and supplies to support daily operations.Direct others in preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments when needed.Load and unload shipments on pallets using appropriate equipment.Load and unload trucks and box trucks safely and efficiently.Perform data entry to record inventory transactions and shipment details accurately.Support inventory control activities by helping track stock levels and movements.Essential SkillsExperience working in a shipping and receiving department.Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks.Proficiency with data entry for recording inventory and shipment information.Experience with inventory control and maintaining accurate stock records.Ability to pack, label, and prepare products for shipment according to specifications.Forklift experience for loading and unloading pallets and materials.Experience operating or working with box trucks and other shipping vehicles.Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing shipments.Attention to detail when verifying counts, weights, measures, and documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfort working in a fast-paced shipping environment.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly shipping and receiving areas.Capability to assist in directing others in shipping and receiving tasks.Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent operations.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a comprehensive package that supports financial security, time off, and recognition. The facility is non-climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The position involves working in a warehouse or shipping area, handling pallets, loading and unloading trucks and box trucks, and using equipment such as forklifts. The environment is active and hands-on, requiring comfort with physical work and movement throughout the day.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broken Arrow, OK.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Material Handler I - 1st ShiftUnder general supervision, counts, examines, weighs, and checks incoming materials and supplies. Pulls material from stock in preparation for fabrication. Puts material away or delivers to requestor. This position is a broad-based title encompassing multiple departments within the manufacturing facility.Moves materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas by hand or with available material handling equipment (MHE) such as hand truck, pallet jack, cart, forklift, or hydraulic lift. Performs and reports cycle counts. Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock by recording location of inventory in warehouse/on the shelves.
