Associate Inventory Control Specialist Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Associate Inventory Control Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring that medical supplies are efficiently received, stocked, and delivered to support uninterrupted patient care. Job Summary The Inventory Control Specialist manages the receipt, delivery, and stocking of central supply items, maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting various departments with their supply needs. Attention to detail, strong math skills, and excellent communication are key to success in this position. Key Responsibilities • Receive and process purchase orders, maintaining reliable sources for high-demand items. • Deliver supplies to departments, manage Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) levels, and collaborate with departments on adjustments. • Conduct physical inventories and assist with quarterly and annual cycle counts. • Lead staff in inventory counts, adjust quantities and locations as needed, and manage supply recalls. • Coordinate with purchasing on orders, PAR changes, and inventory projects. • Anticipate supply needs and communicate potential interruptions to management and customers. • Assist customers visiting central supply, maintain supply logs, and manage mail and office supply closets. • Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience • High School Diploma or GED required. • Preferred: 2 years of inventory experience, ideally in healthcare settings. Skills and Abilities • Proficient with current technology, including Microsoft Office. • Ability to learn and use electronic medical records and inventory systems. • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills. • Effective written and verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Familiarity with medical supply chain terminology and procurement processes is a plus. • Adaptability to the evolving demands of healthcare supply management.
