Job Description We are seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our federal team based at one of the most iconic buildings in the world – the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. We've supported the Pentagon for nearly two decades now in support of their energy efficiency and sustainability needs, primarily in support of the HVAC, Building Automation Systems including control systems, and other MEP related projects. Reporting in to the Senior Project Manager, this position is responsible for managing the quality control processes on-site to assure that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project's contractual requirements and maintains the standard of excellence established by the customer. Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000. Negotiable based on experience. Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total) Travel Required: None. All work is based at the Pentagon As a Quality Control Manager, you will be: • Responsible for the management of the Quality Control system and functions, including the coordination, peer review and documentation of design submissions, inspections, final testing services, and close out activities for the project(s) assigned • Works with customer(s) to address and mitigate deficiencies and nonconformance reports in quality of service, contract scope of work, warranty items, or other related issues. Generate and maintain a deficiency log throughout the project. • Manages three phases of the quality control process to ensure compliance with performance work statement (PWS) • Conducts and participates in the review of design, installation and documentation to ensure that the design and customer's requirements are met on assigned corrective work orders • Control and distribute all the company's quality documentation • Monitor all quality related activities on the project • Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the client and client's representative • Communicates and documents significant issues or developments identified during quality control activities and provides recommended process improvements to management to drive efficiencies • Resolves and manages client problems and/or conflicts as it pertains to quality control process and maintains open communication with the client including providing regular written and oral reports to ensure satisfaction • Generate reports on work performed and deficiencies. Provide daily updates and reports for review and submission to the customer • Participate in the weekly progress meeting with the client. Review the meeting minute reports. • Provides technical expertise and guidance to account teams and staff and manages resolution of complex problems • Work closely with the designer of record (DOR) team onsite and provide all related quality control documents as needed • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards • Provide and manage all related quality control documents such as inspection reports, red lines, deficiencies report, final reports, etc. • Performs other duties as required Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of Construction Quality Control (CQM) experience • Qualified to evaluate performance of the three phases of quality control process in various trades including HVAC, Building Automation Systems including control systems, and other MEP related equipment and systems. • Implemented, operated, and maintained the quality management system • Demonstrated planning, problem solving, data analysis, blueprint/schematic reading, organization, inter-personal, and communication skills with proven leadership skills and decision making abilities • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including Microsoft Office • Active Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification • The ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances and/or badges for projects supported. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.) Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with commercial or industrial HVAC equipment and/or Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems • Knowledge of the Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Control program standards • Experience supporting an occupied facility while under renovation. • Experience in operation and maintenance practices in the building service industry. Responsibilities • Perform appointment scheduling, tracking, and pre- and post-appointment contacts in accordance with VHA Directive 1230, Outpatient Scheduling Processes and Procedures, and VHA Directive 1232, Consult Management • Coordinate and authorize Veteran care with community providers that the VA does not supply or cannot supply in a timely manner • Process community care consults via HealthShare Referral Manager (HSRM) and Provider Profile Management System (PPMS) and other systems as needed • Validate and update patient demographic information, including phone number, address, next of kin, emergency contact, and insurance capture • Ensure all necessary health and administrative information is processed and integrated into the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) • Screen and receive phone calls in a courteous and timely manner; answer the phone within 5 rings and follow appropriate telephone etiquette • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding the delivery of services • Maintain proficiency and daily use of VA software including CPRS, VistA, CTM, VetLink, HSRM, PPMS, and Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams • Open and close clinics daily and update no-shows within 24 hours of appointment • Monitor incoming and outgoing faxes and mail in accordance with HIPAA standards • Retrieve and respond to voicemail within 48 business hours • Complete an average minimum of 20 cases per day over a weekly period • Communicate with internal medical providers on rules and regulations for VA Community Care and advise on appropriate processes • Serve as a Patient Relations Representative; actively listen to feedback and patient concerns and resolve patient complaints and co-worker concerns in a tactful, professional manner • Work collaboratively with the Lead Scheduler and scheduling team to ensure all schedulers are competent and represent the VA in a positive, proactive manner • Notify supervisor and Lead MSA when automated systems are not performing as needed • Maintain computer and IT security; accept full responsibility for all transactions under personal badge, access, and verify codes • Protect electronic and printed files containing sensitive information from unauthorized release, loss, alteration, or deletion • Ensure all patients are identified with appropriate two patient identifiers per policy • Maintain zero breaches of privacy or confidentiality • Assess compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory program review criteria governing service Qualifications • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance; US Citizenship required • Must be a resident of the United States and reside within 50 miles of the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • Oral and written proficiency in English • Basic computer skills with daily proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute (must complete typing test) • Basic medical terminology knowledge • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience • No health or physical disability restrictions that would interfere with the performance of assigned duties • Prior VA or federal healthcare administrative experience is preferred Location • Remote.
