A Day In The Life As a Stocker, your day is centered around keeping shelves filled and the store ready for customers. During daytime hours, you'll work on the floor stocking products, organizing shelves, and assisting customers with questions or locating items. For overnight shifts, the focus shifts to preparing the store for the next day; working through deliveries, stocking shelves, and resetting displays without customer traffic. Another part of the role is maintaining organization behind the scenes. You'll move products from the backroom to the sales floor, rotate inventory, and keep aisles clear and easy to shop. Minimum Qualifications: • Less than 2 years related experience • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks. Preferred Qualifications: • Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. • Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills. • Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred. • Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment. • Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through. Field Installation Specialist Manage all field issues, installation training, and warranty programs Essential Functions Develop and conduct installation training programs both on site and in classroom settings. Modify and update installation manuals as necessary to maintain current information. Visit assigned job sites to ensure products are installed properly and in accordance with installation manuals. Train job site personnel to properly install IMPs as needed. Visit all major claims in the region and agree to corrective actions ensuring thatsuch solutions are in the best interest of the business and all costs are correctly and fully justified. Identify issues at the job site and suggest new procedures to improve quality of products delivered. Create detailed job reports including pictures, description of products being installed, job site environment, and current or possible future issues with the products. Ensure excellence in customer service at the job site. Contact new customers on large scale projects. Plan, prioritize, and perform job site inspections, training, and repairs in the U.S. and internationally. Minimize travel expenses and combine trips as much as possible. Must be familiar with order process and an expert regarding use and installation of all products manufactured or sold by Company. Work closely with Technical Services and Quality Control on QC and R&D projects. Assist Operations with technical consults and provide feedback on warranty issues. Communicate regularly with Technical Services, Quality Control, and Engineering/Drafting as required. Train in house personnel on installation process and key characteristics of the product. Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications. Demonstrated aptitude will be considered in lieu of experience. Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and other software commonly used in this profession. Additional Qualifications Must possess credit worthiness and a major credit card with a sufficient limit in order to maintain monthly travel expenses until reimbursed by the company. Must have the ability to secure a rental car and rental equipment. Must possess a valid passport. Physical Requirements Ability to travel extensively (95%) Ability to work primarily outdoors in all climates in conditions typical of a construction site, including extreme temperatures, high humidity, dust, noise, and moving machinery. Ability to work at heights using fall protection equipment such as harnesses and lifts. Ability to sit, walk, stand for extended periods. The work model for this role is: Remote Key Responsibilities • Partner with consultants, end users, utilities, EPC/DBC firms, and engineering teams to develop and specify ABB low- and medium-voltage power distribution solutions, providing design support, product selection, value engineering, budgeting, and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. • Develop and review electrical system designs, one-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, equipment specifications, and budgetary estimates; serve as the subject matter expert for MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, motor control, UPS, ATS, PSG, and power monitoring solutions. • Lead technical engagement and customer education initiatives by delivering presentations, Lunch & Learns, and industry thought leadership; mentor Field Application Engineers and provide advanced support on power system studies, including short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash mitigation analyses using SKM and EasyPower. • Drive business growth and strategic decision-making by evaluating project technical, financial, and risk considerations, championing assigned product lines, leveraging Salesforce (SFDC), and communicating customer insights, market trends, product opportunities, and competitive gaps to commercial and product management leadership. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering (electrical distribution industry preferred) or a Master's degree in engineering with 4 years of experience in the same. • Knowledge of industry codes and standards; ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills, able to consider multiple viewpoints and resolve technical issues. • Fluent in English (speaking and writing). • Must be willing to travel ~25% of the time but ability to visit customers in local area regularly. • Capability to establish and nurture partnership relationships with the regional engineering consulting community is required • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
