Shift - 930 PM - 630 AM (M-F) Position Overview The Production Supervisor leads day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, and production targets. You will supervise production teams across shifts, manage scheduling and capacity, coordinate material and inventory planning via MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and 5S methodologies. This role requires hands-on problem solving with equipment (CNC, PLCs, robotics, conveyors), enforcing GMP/ISO and OSHA standards, and collaborating with maintenance, quality, and planning to optimize throughput and product quality. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and coach production teams across shifts, ensuring staffing, training, performance management, and adherence to SOPs. • Develop and execute production and shift schedules, including capacity planning and shift scheduling to meet customer demand and on-time delivery targets. • Operate and manage MRP/ERP processes (including SAP) for production orders, Bill of Materials (BOM) control, and materials planning to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. • Maintain quality control through Statistical Process Control (SPC), in-line inspections, and adherence to GMP, ISO standards and food safety requirements when applicable. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen) to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase first-pass yield. • Ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA), conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions and safety training. • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis for equipment faults and process deviations; coordinate with maintenance for repairs, TPM activities, and calibration. • Oversee operation and integration of industrial automation systems including PLCs, robotics, CNC machines, conveyor systems and tooling to maximize uptime. • Manage packaging, assembly line balancing and shop floor control to optimize flow and reduce bottlenecks. • Control inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts, implement inventory management best practices and liaise with purchasing for material replenishment. • Maintain production documentation, update SOPs, prepare production reports and KPIs, and communicate results to operations leadership. • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain to launch new products, process changes and continuous improvement projects. Qualifications • Associate or Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent experience. • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in food manufacturing is a plus. • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, 5S and Kaizen continuous improvement tools (Green Belt preferred). • Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (experience with SAP highly desirable), BOM management and materials planning. • Strong understanding of Quality Control, SPC, GMP and ISO standards with demonstrated ability to implement and maintain compliance. • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and proven track record in safety management and incident reduction. • Skilled in root cause analysis, troubleshooting mechanical and automation systems, and coordinating TPM and preventive maintenance. • Familiarity with CNC machine operation, PLC programming/interaction, robotics, industrial automation and conveyor systems. • Experience with production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, packaging operations and assembly line balancing. • Proficiency with shop floor control systems, SOP creation, documentation and production reporting; familiarity with AutoCAD/CAD is a plus. • Strong leadership, communication and team development skills, with ability to train frontline staff and drive performance. • Flexible to work rotating shifts as required and able to respond to production emergencies; valid forklift and other certifications preferred. What You Will Do • Capture and analyze training needs for the US Wound Care sales organization which is focused on solutions based sales of our advanced wound care portfolio. • Lead the development of and/or prepare respective training programs, processes, tools, and activities aligned to identified needs of the sales organization to be successful. • Partner with Sales, Clinical, Product and Marketing peers both locally and globally to centrally develop and administer training programs and events that ensure consistent activation of GTM strategies and value propositions for the Essity US Wound Care Business. • Thoroughly understand salesforce business objectives and perception of the wound care category and the advanced wound care portfolio and translates them into meaningful and impactful training experiences. • Develop an annual training calendar with a focus on product knowledge, corporate selling methodologies (HM Move), strategic partners activation, reimbursement insights, and market and competitor insights. • Develop and execute methodologies for measuring and tracking A&P investments against improved assessment and deepening knowledge/expertise, leveraging scorecard practices, and holding the team accountable, ensuring continuous learning and improved scores. • Ensure compliance in the utilization of all clinical evidence with appropriate Regulatory, Compliance, and Legal partners. • Owns the day-to-day management and execution of the Field Sales Trainer training program for the Wound Care sales force. • Supports the development and curating of educational materials for digital learning programs and in-person training sessions, ensuring seamless delivery to the Wound Care Sales team. • Presents trainings in the field, as needed. • Manages resources to support field trainings. • Assist the sales field by being available to address ongoing market needs. • Strategically and efficiently manage A&P budget. • Customize global programs to meet the needs of the local market • Co-travels with field sellers across the country to support their continuous development (up to 50% travel) Who You Are • Bachelor's degree with Master's degree or higher preferred. • Strong training experience – min 3 years leading teams and training. • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to work with graphics software. • Ability to activate training for all stages of B2B sales cycle. • Strong experience in the wound care therapy space with a minimum of 3 years working within the healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry as a trainer, clinician, or sales management professional. • Ability to quickly garner respect amongst peers (sales, marketing, finance, distribution and operations). • Ability to identify tasks, take initiative and drive for results. • Proven problem solver with strong ability to multi-task and handle project deadlines. • Demonstrable managerial courage with ability to manage and measure work production. • Effective communication, presentation, and collaborative skills. • Strong organizational and project management experience. • Proven ability to identify new market trends and knowledge of healthcare/government legislation and impact on customers. • Experience in converting technical product information to Salesforce and customer relevant benefits. • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills. • Ability to travel up to 50% What We Can Offer You At Essity, we believe every career is as unique as the individual and empower employees to reach their full potential in a winning culture motivated by a powerful purpose.
