Park Ranger

Responsible for assigned park maintenance and operations, including supervision and security oversight of visitors at City parks and recreation centers. Position Functions Conduct patrols of the park to ensure visitor safety, observe suspicious persons, identify hazardous conditions, detour depreciative behavior among visitors and report any significant activity to the appropriate authorities, assisting when needed. Offer detailed information on programs, events, and park amenities while ensuring clear communication of instructions and directions to the public. Handle visitor inquires, fill out incident reports to include follow-ups, collect and report user fees. Communicate over hand-held radios. Provide first aid services to visitors. Operate various duty stations within the park. Includes trashing, restroom maintenance, minor electrical, carpentry and irrigation work.
