Job Title Location: 1800 City Clerk Pay Grade: A06 FLSA Status: Non-exempt Under general supervision, performs clerical and supervisorial duties in support of the City Clerk. *This position performs duties deemed to be "safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City's policies* Essential Job Functions Coordinates and oversees the work activities of the court clerks. Reviews a variety of documents and determines methods for processing, including criminal subpoenas and summons, warrants, arrest reports, fingerprints, citations, bonds, and insurance verifications. Prepares various trial dockets and calendars. Develops, maintains, and processes appropriate records essential to jury selection. Assists in the preparation for and carrying out of various hearings and trials, including jury trials, and special events, which may require overseeing and assisting with facility preparation, as well as planning, ordering and/or serving food or refreshments. Interacts with the general public to provide and verify information, processes transactions, and provides services related to the Municipal Court or other areas of city government. Issues and processes various applications for licenses, permits, and certifications. Inputs and verifies data in the computer system to create or update records. Answers the telephone, routes calls, provides the general public with information regarding department services, and responds to general public requests. Categorizes and maintains a manual and/or a computerized filing system; enters data; cross-indexes and files various types of materials. Writes memos or compiles information for reports; prepares charts or tables from general specifications to present information in an easy to read format. Performs calculations to obtain totals, balances, or other numerical information; may conduct reviews/audits of various receipts, financial reports, or documents. Assists department management with various special projects and programs. Performs a variety of clerical/technical tasks in coordination/conjunction with other departments and agencies. Assists municipal judge in administrative aspects of municipal court. Collects fees and fines; prepares reports to account for funds collected. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by one to two years of similar experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Bachelor's Degree in a course of study related to the occupational field is preferred. Physical Requirements Tasks involve the ability to exert minimal physical effort in sedentary work, typically involving some combination of balancing, climbing, crouching, feeling, handling, hearing, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, walking, and which involves some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Benefit coverage begins on the first of the month following 30 days of employment Retirement • The City offers a 401(a) defined contribution retirement plan through the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund (OMRF). The City contributes 10% of the employees' earnings into the plan. Employees become 20% vested after three years and vesting increases 20% for each additional year of service until 100% vesting is achieved at seven years. Employees may elect to contribute an additional amount. • The City also offers access to a 457 retirement plan, both traditional and Roth, through Mission Square retirement. Preferred Providers • Through our preferred providers, the City is pleased to offer anyone on the health plan access to medical services at no additional cost. • Clinic: Anyone on the City's medical plan can access the Remedy Health clinics, including their on-site pharmacies, labs and imaging services at no cost. • ZERO Card: Zero offers a wide range of services that may be ordered by your doctor, including labs, imaging, colonoscopies, orthopedic surgery, sleep studies, physical therapy and more- all at no cost to the employee. Paid Leave • Vacation: One week of vacation is available after six months of employment. Thereafter, vacation is accrued monthly according to year of service. Procedure: Vacation leave cannot exceed the actual accrued number of hours earned by the employee. Holidays and other non-scheduled workdays shall not be computed in vacation leave expenditure. Each department establishes its own vacation scheduling procedures. Vacation cannot be used as the last day of employment. • Holidays: Twelve paid holidays, plus one floating holiday each year. • Sick: Eight hours per month up to maximum of 1,040 hours (130 working days). Replaces or repairs glass and windshields as needed. • Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed. • Welds and otherwise attaches or fits parts into place and Prepares and repaints vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent. • Attempts to complete work orders within labor time guidelines. Ensures all work has been executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repair. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Required • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer. Required Skills/Abilities • Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision. • Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop. • Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies. • Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade. Other Requirements • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. • Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions. • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
