As a Product Inspection Field Service Technician (FST), you will provide technical support to customers throughout the installation, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and training of product inspection equipment. You will serve as a key customer-facing representative, troubleshooting equipment in the field while balancing technical requirements, customer expectations, safety, time, and cost. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Install, start up, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair product inspection equipment - Support Safeline X-Ray and Metal Detection, Hi-Speed Checkweighers, and CI Vision systems - Perform scheduled service calls, preventive maintenance, audits, and equipment inspections - Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and work toward first-time fixes - Communicate effectively with customers and internal service teams - Build strong, professional customer relationships - Prepare and submit accurate service reports, timesheets, expense reports, and other documentation - Manage daily service assignments and scheduling - Follow company safety procedures, service standards, and best practices - Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, vehicle, and inventory - Participate in ongoing technical training and development REQUIREMENTS: - Electrical troubleshooting experience - Basic to intermediate mechanical troubleshooting experience - Strong customer service and communication skills - Valid driver's license and clean driving record - Ability and willingness to travel extensively TRAVEL: - Approximately 80% travel Monday-Friday - Paid port-to-port travel - Company vehicle and gas card provided - Company-paid travel expenses - $62/day per diem Job 59272 Salary: $31-$32/hour starting pay | 20% annual company bonus | Additional earning opportunity through upselling and commission $90,000+ total earnings in Year 1 is typical!
