Warehouse Associate 1 The Warehouse Associate 1 will perform tasks associated with shipping, receiving, and the material handling process at RealTruck. This will include receiving, stocking, inventory control, picking, packing, staging, and shipping of product. Rotating Shift: Monday-Friday 5:00am-1:30pm and some occasional Saturdays Core Functions: • Prepare product for movement throughout the warehouse, including sorting, scanning, repackaging, palletizing, labeling, and wrapping • Assemble component parts into kits; packages and labels kits; enters kit data into WMS. • Pick and pack bulk and drop-ship inventory for shipment according to customer order, stage inventory for shipment and load trailers. • Unload trailers, receive product, verify accuracy against PO and pack slip in WMS. • Receive returned product, verify warranty status, update WMS, prepare product for disposal or return to stock. • Train other employees, maintain a clean and safe workspace and other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: Education and Experience: Highschool Diploma preferred. 6-12 months of related experience and or training preferred. Required Licenses: None. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Skilled in the use of a pallet jack, tape gun. Basic computer skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to count and perform basic math. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Supervisor Responsibilities: Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities. Physical Requirements: This position is subject to Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Activities: This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing. Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.) Working Conditions: The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment. Receiver - Store Receivers are responsible for all back room operations. Receivers must be knowledgeable of all back room policies and procedures to properly manage all incoming and outgoing freight shipments and product. Receivers must receive product in a timely manner and work with a high level of accuracy and speed. Warehouse Inventory Assistant Salary: $15.75/hr. minimum - $16.63/hr. mid (Depending on qualifications) To provide general assistance in receiving, issuing and maintaining the inventory of materials, supplies, tools and equipment for the general and automotive warehouses; and to perform various other duties as assigned. General supervision is provided by the Warehouse Supervisor. Essential duties and responsibilities include: • All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct & Rules of Behavior outlined in Chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual. • Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures. • Participate in front counter activities including issuing parts and supplies to City employees; assist in receiving and stocking parts, supplies and equipment; tag, sort and locate miscellaneous inventory; assist in moving, cleaning and re-tagging as necessary. • Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies, parts, tools and equipment; enter data into inventory records using a computer terminal, adding or deleting items to maintain appropriate balances. • Participate in the ordering of parts for stock; work with vendors to obtain bid quotes for major repairs; participate in the preparation of bids. • Operate appropriate equipment including a forklift, pallet jack and office machines. • Maintain records at City Records Storage facility. • Assist in the annual inventory for the automotive and general warehouses. • Research and obtain auto parts as needed for mechanics. • May pickup parts from auto parts location or dealership as needed. Other duties and responsibilities include: • Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly manner; sweep and mop warehouse floor. • Participate in answering the telephone for the warehouse. • Maintain outside storage yard for pipe, water fittings and other outside stock items. • Create confirming purchase orders to place orders for parts. Prepare invoices for payment processing. • Create purchase requisitions for blanket orders. Create invoice documents to pay invoices. • Enter parts into the inventory system when received and charge parts out to the appropriate budget. • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum job requirements include: • High School Diploma or GED. • Six (6) months of warehouse experience OR six (6) months of automotive counter or automotive warehouse experience. • Three (3) months experience operating a forklift. • Possession of a valid driver's license. Work schedule: • Monday - Friday • 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
