Job Title: Yard Driver (AM)Job Area: Terminal/Warehouse/TransportDivision: Road Transport USLocation: Richardson, TXTime Type: Full TimeBenefitsAnnual gross wage of $57,000 – $66,000, dependent on shift and personal performance.Eligible for 5–15 hours of overtime per week based on business needs.Home every day.Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (eligible on the first of the month following 30 days of employment).Company paid short‑term & long‑term disability and life insurance.401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.Generous PTO package – including vacation, sick time, birthday holiday, 3 floating holidays, and 6 paid holidays a year.Bi‑weekly pay with Daily Pay options.$1,000 Referral Bonus Program.Cell phone allowance.Paid orientation including transportation, lodging, and meals.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMove trailers, containers, and equipment to and from loading docks, staging areas, and parking locations within the yard.Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of yard tractors, trailers, and equipment and report defects or damage.Ensure trailers are properly secured, chocked, sealed, and docked according to safety procedures.Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and operations personnel to prioritize trailer moves and dock assignments.Maintain accurate yard location tracking using yard management systems (YMS), tablets, handheld devices, or written logs.Verify trailer numbers, seals, and load documentation prior to movement.Assist in yard organization, including staging empty and loaded trailers in designated areas.Monitor yard conditions and immediately report safety hazards, equipment issues, or security concerns.Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned yard tractor and equipment.Comply with company policies, OSHA safety standards, and site‑specific safety procedures.Support shipping and receiving operations during peak periods as directed.Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.Work Experience & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).Previous yard driver, hostler, shuttler, warehouse, or transportation experience (strongly preferred).Experience operating a yard tractor, terminal tractor, or similar equipment (preferred).Ability to obtain and maintain company yard certification and safety training.Class A driver's license required.Basic understanding of trailer types, coupling/uncoupling procedures, and dock operations (preferred).Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.Skills & CompetenciesStrong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.Attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Time management and prioritization.Situational awareness in high‑traffic environments.Basic technology skills (handheld scanners, tablets, or yard management systems).Physical DemandsThis position requires frequent sitting while operating a yard tractor and frequent entering and exiting the vehicle throughout the shift. The employee must be able to climb in and out of equipment, couple and uncouple trailers, and perform inspections that involve bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and walking on uneven surfaces. The role requires the ability to lift and move items up to approximately 50 pounds occasionally and to work in tight spaces around docks and trailers.Work EnvironmentThe Yard Driver primarily works outdoors in a busy transportation yard or terminal environment and is regularly exposed to moving vehicles, heavy equipment, varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and diesel fumes. The position requires working around loading docks, trailers, and warehouse operations and may involve day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts based on business needs.CompensationFor this position, the expected base pay range is $24 hourly. Customer Service Representative The production service team ensures customer issues are addressed to the customer's satisfaction in a timely manner in accordance with Cavco warranties and commitments. Ensuring ongoing customer loyalty and brand support is a key driver of production service team success. Customer service representatives take customer calls and work to resolve customer issues and concerns with Cavco's warranties and commitments. He/she assists customers with understanding their product purchase. Senior specialists have a mastery of skills and knowledge regarding service operations and customer support. This role works independently executing specific and at times complex process steps under continuous quality review and coaching as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints. • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems. • Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken. • Resolve customers' service or billing complaints. • Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records, or issue service discontinuance orders, using computers. • Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation. • Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, or arrange for billing. • Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results or any planned adjustments. • Refers complaints of product or service failure to appropriate departments for investigation. • Coordinates customers' service needs with other departments as required to ensure customer service. • May receive orders, resolve complaints about billing, and explain how to use product or service. Chemical Distribution Driver Daily operation and driving of a power unit (Class 8 tractors and lower) for chemical distribution. Job requirements will include transport of HAZMAT and non-hazardous materials. This is both liquid and dry material. Requirements will include movements to satisfy outside delivery (customers/vendors), in plant movements (spotting), and/or inter-company branch transfers. Types of deliveries are: • Bulk deliveries of liquids and solid materials that will include loading and offloading of materials from appropriate trailer configurations. Drivers will participate in the loading/unloading process using pumps, air, etc. to move product. Process will include management of entire process including transport, proper transfer and delivery of product, securement after completion, and execution of all applicable paperwork. • Packaged deliveries of materials in drums, IBCs, or other containers in liquid form. Palletized material (dry or liquid) and supersacks (dry) of product. Candidate must operate a tractor, trailer, or applicable service vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
