A Brief Overview The Usher/Ticket Taker is responsible for providing excellent customer service at all events, while providing directions and scanning tickets. The Usher/Ticket Taker is also responsible for greeting guests, assisting guests with finding their seats, controlling access points, and assisting guests when issues/problems arise. Job Responsibilities • Assist guests with directional and informational inquiries by demonstrating strong knowledge of the facility and event(s). • Communicate in a professional manner with other building staff, clients, guests, supervisors and corporate staff on important information. • Work to effectively accommodate guests with disabilities, while complying with facility/event ADA requirements. • Display a calm and attentive demeanor when rectifying issues with guests. • Check and scan guest tickets upon entry to the facility/venue or section. Review guest tickets to direct them to the appropriate area. • Control access points to prevent unauthorized entries. • Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct to supervisor or Event Manager. Required Qualifications • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency • A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Able to remain in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods • Able to frequently ascend/descend stairs • Able to work in/around loud environments • Exemplify a strong commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service • Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills • Sound judgement; able to make sound decisions • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Pay Scale: $13.50 - $17.00 p/h This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements. What You Drive At DTNA • Perform physically demanding warehouse duties including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures. • Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput. Pick, prepare and package required quantity of material for proper shipment. • Operation of Voice Directed Picking Equipment. • Operate power vehicles such as a forklift, reach truck and order picker to a height of 24 feet. • Safely operate and / or work in the vicinity of many types of equipment, such as forklifts, reach trucks, pick trucks, propane powered lifts, battery changing equipment, electric carousels, conveyor lines, heavy duty pneumatic staple guns, compactors, dock levelers, etc. without risk to self or other employees. • Communicate effectively with others within and outside the work group. • Ability to work overtime when needed. • Excellent attendance and punctuality. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge You Should Bring • PIV experience such as Forklift, Reach Truck, or Order Picker. • Previous warehouse experience. • Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting tools. • Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 75 pounds. • Must maintain a clean work area. • Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures. • Cross train on other jobs as required.
