Inventory Specialist The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels within the distribution center/warehouse. This role ensures the integrity of inventory records through cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits, and works closely with warehouse operations, purchasing, and management to support efficient material flow and order fulfillment. (Please note: This job will focus on cycle counting, audits, and reconciliations rather than traditional inventory ordering.) Key Responsibilities • Perform regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy. • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. • Maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages, overages, and potential issues to management. • Support receiving, stocking, and shipping activities as needed to ensure inventory is properly tracked. • Assist with physical inventory counts and preparation for annual audits. • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. • Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen inventory control and accuracy. • Provide reporting and data analysis on inventory metrics as requested. • The hours for this shift are from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides installation and troubleshooting for a wide range of systems including voice and data, fiber optics, fire alarm, security, access control, closed circuit television, nurse call, etc. • Analyzes blueprints effectively for job site knowledge. • Evaluates upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures and training needs. • Demonstrates the ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size. • Leads small crews (2-5 electricians). • Enforces a safe job site and maintain compliance with company safety, OSHA and customer-specific safety standards. • Demonstrates excellent customer relations though utilization of effective problem-solving techniques. • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
