Order Picker CarParts.com is currently seeking Order Pickers to join our team. In this role, you'll perform routine warehouse/material handling and other duties as assigned. Work involves loading/unloading, picking, packing, putaway through our High Jump warehouse management system. Works under close to moderate supervision with limited to moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. What You'll Do • Unload/load container/trailer as assigned by team lead or supervisor. • Sort product by stock number while unloading onto pallets (containers only). • Transport pallets to assigned area using a dock stocker or manual pallet jack so the receiving process can begin. • Communicate to appropriate team members when container/trailer is empty/full. • Utilize RF scanner/computer to scan item (items) into suggested packing box. • Package item (items) into suggested box using various packaging materials. • Attach shipping label. • Place the completed box onto shipping pallet. • Receive product into our inventory management system (HJ) that is assigned to your area following the proper receiving procedures. • Verify merchandise to packing list/RF gun to assure accuracy. • Sort product to established guidelines. Label product when needed. • Utilize wrist scanner to pick items and move to carton. • Walking the static locations in Warehouse. • Pulling a Cart. • Off load cartons to the conveyor. Warehouse Associate SHIFT: Monday - Friday 7AM- 3:30PM or Monday - Friday 9AM - 5:30PM JOB FUNCTION: The Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of routine shipping, receiving, and housekeeping tasks. This role also requires basic computer proficiency and experience using tablets on the warehouse floor for inventory management, order processing, and related tasks. JOB DUTIES • Shipping • Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pull ticket and customer requirements. • Check inventory to verify availability of needed stock. • Notify Supervisor of shortages. • Package and ship product in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted method/practices • Maintain product stock in work area • Stock shelves • Monitor packaging material supplies and notify supervisor when materials to the restocking point. • Use tablets for order processing, inventory checks, and recording shipping activities. • Receiving • Receive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment. • Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received. • Responsible for accurately receiving, reporting, and distributing purchased items. • Stocking warehouse shelves. • May be required to operate tow motor. • Use tablets to log incoming shipments in the ERP system. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: • Effective communication/comprehension skills verbal and written • Math Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with tablets and warehouse management software • Physical requirements ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift materials up to 50lbs. A Brief Overview The Usher/Ticket Taker is responsible for providing excellent customer service at all events, while providing directions and scanning tickets. The Usher/Ticket Taker is also responsible for greeting guests, assisting guests with finding their seats, controlling access points, and assisting guests when issues/problems arise. Job Responsibilities • Assist guests with directional and informational inquiries by demonstrating strong knowledge of the facility and event(s). • Communicate in a professional manner with other building staff, clients, guests, supervisors and corporate staff on important information. • Work to effectively accommodate guests with disabilities, while complying with facility/event ADA requirements. • Display a calm and attentive demeanor when rectifying issues with guests. • Check and scan guest tickets upon entry to the facility/venue or section. Review guest tickets to direct them to the appropriate area. • Control access points to prevent unauthorized entries. • Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct to supervisor or Event Manager. Required Qualifications • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency • A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Able to remain in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods • Able to frequently ascend/descend stairs • Able to work in/around loud environments • Exemplify a strong commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service • Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills • Sound judgement; able to make sound decisions • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Pay Scale: $13.50 - $17.00 p/h This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
