Stocker - Store Job Category: Cavender StoresRequisition Number: STOCK001146Part-TimeLocation: Mesquite, TX 75150, USADescription OverviewStockers are to receive, price, sensor (if applicable) and inspect freight. Stockers must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City stocking system, and knowledgeable of all paperwork associated with each stocking function. Stockers must prioritize merchandise by order of importance (i.e., empty wrangler shelves should be restocked before empty polish racks are restocked). Stockers are also responsible for keeping the store neat and clean inside and outside.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision, and ValuesSupport stocking tasks accurately and efficientlyKeep work area neat, clean, and organizedBe knowledgeable of all CBC policies and proceduresBe knowledgeable of all CBC stocking procedures:Return to Stock (RTS)Return to Vendor (RTV)Validating packing slipsTagging merchandiseSensor tagging merchandise (if applicable)Keep back-stock moving out to the sales floor to the proper locationsReport to work promptly, neatly groomed, and appropriately dressedBe security conscious at all timesPerform all other miscellaneous duties as assignedWork with supervisors to understand all actions needed to impact the desired goals set by the company (i.e. Web order completion rate, Company, or Vendor contests)Qualifications and RequirementsJob requires associate to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during shiftJob requires associate, on a regular basis, to carry objects up to 50 lbsJob requires that the associate regularly pick up objects up to 50 lbsAbility to comprehend basic instructionsAbility to interpret documentsAbility to apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasksAbility to understand the meanings of words and effectively respondAssociate must be able to read English.Associate must be able to understand EnglishAssociate must be able to stay alert during work hours assignedCavander's is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Key Carrier - Store The Key Carrier assists in the management of the retail facility. This position could be a cashier, receiver, or sales associate. The Key Carrier should know the necessary aspects of store operation and act as the Store Manager in his/her absence, on a short-time basis and be able to open and close store as directed. Duties and Responsibilities • Please see cashier, receiver or sales associate job descriptions for specific job responsibilities and duties. • Open and close store as directed. • Assist in the management of the retail store and the supervision of store associates. • Know necessary aspects of store operation and act as the Store Manager in his/her absence. • Assist in the day-to-day operation of the store. • Assist in the training of new store associates. • Maintain an awareness of safety/security issues and report any accidents or incidents occurring during the Store Manager's absence to the Store Manager promptly. • Understand and implement company policies and procedures. • Assist in the effort to increase sales, maintain profit structure, and reduce controllable expenses. • Assist in the maintenance of interior/exterior store image and appearance (including staff appearance). • Maintain active role in personal selling. • Assist in the practice of shrinkage control through preventative measures. • Assist in resolution of personnel/customer problems and complaints. • Assist in all other duties considered usual and customary in the retail apparel/footwear industry. • Assist store manager in all other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors or general office. • Understand all reports generated by the general office and coach all associates the actions needed to ensure compliance to goals.
