Order Picker CarParts.com is currently seeking Order Pickers to join our team. In this role, you'll perform routine warehouse/material handling and other duties as assigned. Work involves loading/unloading, picking, packing, putaway through our High Jump warehouse management system. Works under close to moderate supervision with limited to moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. What You'll Do • Unload/load container/trailer as assigned by team lead or supervisor. • Sort product by stock number while unloading onto pallets (containers only). • Transport pallets to assigned area using a dock stocker or manual pallet jack so the receiving process can begin. • Communicate to appropriate team members when container/trailer is empty/full. • Utilize RF scanner/computer to scan item (items) into suggested packing box. • Package item (items) into suggested box using various packaging materials. • Attach shipping label. • Place the completed box onto shipping pallet. • Receive product into our inventory management system (HJ) that is assigned to your area following the proper receiving procedures. • Verify merchandise to packing list/RF gun to assure accuracy. • Sort product to established guidelines. Label product when needed. • Utilize wrist scanner to pick items and move to carton. • Walking the static locations in Warehouse. • Pulling a Cart. • Off load cartons to the conveyor. Order Puller The Order Puller is responsible for collecting stock, recording information about the product and preparing it for shipment to the end user. Essential Functions/Duties • Observe, follow and maintain a safe working environment. • Collect orders from designated area and prepare for the pulling process by reviewing order document for special instructions and determining how to address. • Use order documents to fulfil order using scanners and material handling equipment (when necessary) to select the appropriate product listed. • Once the complete order has been assembled, take it back to the workstation to package and prepare for shipment (packaging, boxing, palletizing, shrink-wrapping and labeling as appropriate). • Ensure packaged order is taken to shipping area and placed in the appropriate lane, table, etc. • Count/verify stock using various methods including via scanner, scale, manually or using computer. • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and escalate discrepancies or errors. • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Cognitive abilities required include deductive reasoning, information ordering, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension, and written expression.
