Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems MechanicA WG-8268-10, AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC:Performs maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems. Troubleshoots, removes, inspects, installs, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and/or tests pneudraulic systems and components for aircraft pneudraulic systems, associated ground support equipment, and/or related test equipment. Accomplishes periodic and special inspections on hydraulic components. Inspects all components and subsystems for operation, internal, and external leakage and servicing. Operates portable test stands for checkout of pneudraulic system. Removes, installs, and/or repairs Pneudraulic components from aircraft and associated aerospace ground equipment. Removes, disassembles, cleans, repairs, assembles components, and tests completed unit. Operates test equipment for all hydraulic components. Inspects for cracks, scratches, nicks, and holes on seals, gaskets, packings, and hoses. Modifies systems and their components. Rigs, adjusts, and aligns hydraulic components to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Polishes cylinders and pistons to ensure proper fit. Investigates pneudraulic failures to determine causes and accomplishes corrective maintenance.Performs installation, modification, and/or repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems. Determines proper maintenance and repair procedures and minimum requirements pertaining to parts, clearance and tolerances, and performance characteristics of pneudraulic systems and related aerospace ground equipment. Solves unusual maintenance problems by studying layout drawings, schematic diagrams, applicable technical publications, and analyzing construction and operating characteristics of pneudraulic systems. Determines repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment. Diagnoses recurring malfunctions and recommends corrective action by initiation of Quality Deficiency Reports, proposed modifications, or other appropriate actions. Performs Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) related to pneudraulic systems. Accomplishes local manufacture of hose assemblies and provides testing of aircraft tubing. Accomplishes hydraulic fluid sampling on assigned aircraft, test stands, and servicing equipment. Repairs in-flight refueling systems on tanker aircraft.Performs organizational and field level maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection. Provides technical assistance to other shops concerning complicated interaction malfunctions between other systems, subsystems, and components. Jacks aircraft to simulate flight configuration, connects power sources, and uses cockpit controls, gauges, and additional precision instruments to check the operation of such items as landing gear doors, ground and flight spoilers and steering and brake systems for performance and conformance to operating specifications.Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises. May be required to perform such additional duties as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, serve as security guard, remove snow, load and handle munitions, launch/recover and service of aircraft, operate heavy equipment, maintain facilities and equipment, or serves as a member of a team to cope with natural disasters or civil emergencies.Other duties as assigned (temporary, minor, or incidental tasks)

Position Summary We are seeking Advanced Crane Service Technicians to join our team in the Pacific, WA area. We hire and develop technicians across multiple experience levels ( Level 3 through Master level ). This advanced-level position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including systems with advanced auxiliary components. Advancement is based on demonstrated skills, experience, performance, and certifications. Technicians at all levels perform field service, repairs, and inspections on overhead cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment. Level 3 –Service Technician Works on complex 3-motion cranes with auxiliaries such as roto hooks, encoder closed-loop systems, exotic brakes, and all brake types. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Troubleshoots and repairs uncommon brake systems (e.g., Whiting SESA and Magnetek thruster brakes). Assists in project estimating (scope, labor, and parts requirements). Explains AC control circuit principles, including Ohm's Law and voltage drop. Diagnoses mechanical systems (wheels, bearings, reducers) and supports basic operation of vacuum lifters, magnets, and load rotators. Rigs and installs new cranes and hoists. Mentors and supports junior technicians. Communicates effectively with customers and maintains detailed service documentation. Level 4 / Master – Service Technician Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory with proven ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems. Experienced with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and PLC programming. Minimum 2 years of hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience (or equivalent military experience). Preferred: Associate's degree or equivalent vocational training. High aptitude for both electrical and mechanical work environments with strong familiarity of mechanical and electrical equipment. Capable of leading complex repairs, installations, and troubleshooting across all crane systems while mentoring technicians and interfacing professionally with customers. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred. Experience in crane service or industrial maintenance. Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments.
