Being a Flex Driver for BWI is much more than driving a truck and comes with some great benefits. In this role, you will: • Primarily operate a semi unit with a 53' drop deck trailer, Dodge 550 spreader truck, and bulk bags of fertilizer. • Be responsible for the loading and unloading of the spreader from the trailer. • Be responsible for spreading fertilizer at job sight according to work order specifications. • Drive tractor-trailer combinations and straight trucks to transport and deliver products. • Frequently interact with customers. • Follow safety and placarding procedures. • Perform trip, vehicle, and equipment inspections. • Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair. • Obtain delivery receipts/signatures. • Correctly maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions. • Properly secure cargo for transport. • Read invoices to determine assignment details. • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles or property. • Collect delivery instructions, verifying instructions and routes. • Operate Elog device (people net). • Understanding of weights and measurements • Operating loading-related equipment. (Some manual unloading may be required.) • Collaborate with other BWI employees (e.g., employee training and sharing information) to ensure customer satisfaction and teamwork. Inbound Coordinator As an Inbound Coordinator at our Distribution Center, you'll be integral to ensuring exceptional customer service. This role involves managing inbound shipments by unloading deliveries, receiving products, and strategically placing them in storage locations. You'll handle tasks such as processing requests, managing supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, and preparing orders for the outbound staging area. In addition, you'll also be responsible for resolving vendor shipping discrepancies, addressing defective products, and processing customer and vendor returns. This position is key in supporting reverse logistics and works closely with the Purchasing, Warehouse, and Field Operations Teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This position pays between $20 - $22 per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities: Receiving Duties: • Inspect merchandise against purchase orders and vendor shipping documents to record quantities, defects, or discrepancies. • Accurately enter receiving documentation into OneSource and other relevant systems. • Validate received shipments to ensure they are correctly recorded in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). • Communicate with vendors and freight carriers regarding any discrepancies or issues during the receiving process. Returns Duties: • Process customer and vendor returns according to established procedures. • Investigate and resolve vendor shipping discrepancies and defective product issues. • Submit vendor shipping discrepancies for resolution following the given vendor's process, which may include contacting customer service via email or phone. • Validate and process vendor return shipments. • Review and manage items in the Returns/Defective/Over shipment queue daily to ensure timely resolution according to current guidelines. • Create return purchase orders to match approved vendor return authorizations regarding items, quantities, costs, freight, and restocking fees. • Follow up on inquiries with vendors and internal personnel. Escalate unresolved issues to the DC Manager when necessary. General Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all receiving and returns activities. • Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines. • Contribute to a positive team environment and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: • Experience with WMS and ERP applications such as Oracle, SAP, Manhattan, or Blue Yonder. • Proficient with handheld scanners and barcoding systems. • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. • Preferred experience with powered and/or manual pallet jack. • Strong basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality of work, and customer service. • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities under pressure. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team/work environment. • Strong organizational skills.
